The 9th Street Park project is funded by an Environmental Protection Agency Brownfield Cleanup program and by the Trust for Public Lands. The project consists of grading strategies to cap and bury contaminated soils on the site and re-establish the landscape for public use. Work activities to complete the project contain clearing and grubbing, site excavation, embankment compaction, soil remediation associated with arsenic and lead contamination from a previous orchard, installation of a paved walking path and gravel parking lot, landscaping, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The project contains FHWA Buy America requirements.
